I was given a Verona today as a loaner.  It has a somewhat harsh ride compared to my Galant and also to Suzuki's own Forenza.  The engine makes okay power once you get the revs up, but doesn't feel like a V6 would.  It feels like a smooth 4.  The fit and finish of the car is nice though.

It's not a V6, it's an inline 6.

Bought our '04 Verona EX Nov. '03 and have had very few issues to complain about. Two recall items, airbag wiring harness and brake light switch (which was not bad). Currently have a bad alignment at 35000 mi but I'm not complaining. I really like the L6 motor. I would like it more with a 5 or 6 speed box behind it. No slushbox can utilize an inline 6's power curve the way the user can with a manual (just my opinion and this may be true of any motor I may simply be oriented toward six in a row with a manual???) Oops, got off track...Nice car in general, great car for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Looking forward to the all wheel drive option...that is coming soon, isn't it?

Ok heres the deal on the verona. I am a auto tech worked for a suzuki dealer one of the biggest on the east coast really. the sent me to suzuki school found out lots of info on these cars. ok the verona and forenza are basicaly daywoos when dawoo went under gm and suzuki steped in and took over. heres the bad part in korea they dont care about what happens to the car after its sold. warrantys are really nonexsitent. in the us we love the warrenty  they will basically sell a car on there own. ok with the verona chances are if you have a 2004 it needs a head and cats at least. heres the deal the lifter holes are not round and push oil into the cylinder well when a cat gets oil on it. it sort of falls apart theres little metal flakes that gets sucked back into the exhaust valve from the back pressure well metal and a cylinder wall dont exacly go together to good scratching the cylinder walls. a easy check of this is to pull off the intake boot at the tb and see if theres a puddle of oil in there if so you need a head and cats atleast. . same goes for the forenza's korea  acually had to scrap thousands of heads due to this. now your japen built cars are great they are the aerio sxt  grand v's xl7's now your new xl7s are basicaly a caddy  heres a fun fact the 6 cyclinder in the caddies 3.something 6 or 7 is built bye suzuki. 2007 or 8 suzuki is coming out with a new verona a new 2 seater sports car this is already in pradution in europe if you do a search you will find it. the new verona is completly redesigned whole new drive train body alot sharper looking . as far as the truck myth i was told not going to happen the market isnt here for it they already have one on the market over seas. hey aerio owner want alittle bit more power your motor is detuned bump your timing to about 7 degrees there at 5 now you can go a little more but be carfully dont want to melt anything down. If anyone has any ?'s feel free to ask i'll try to help dont worry suzukis and the only ones haveing problems i work on lin and mercurys now i have a 2006 milian in my bay with out a motor due to the guy at the assembly line must of feel asleep insteed of putting circle clips in the piston to hold the wrist pin in this one needs a whole short block ha ha ha ha ford warranty pays crap so the last laugh is on me
