Just heading out the door for the race and needed to print out some documentation...
Anyway, there are many ways to skin this cat but I use a cable driven sensor that creates a pulsed signal and then use a conditioner to correct it for the ECM. This way one can have the Sidekick/Trcker cable speedo work and the ECM happy at the same time.
from JTR or Jags that Run I use the:
Speed Sensor, # 4PAC-TOY
Four-pulse sine wave for Toyota with
22 mm metric thread and .187 tang drive.
From Dakota Digital I use the:
SGI-5 Universal Signal Interface Unit
ALso, to calibrate the 4 cylinder Tachometer to work with the V6 ECM output I use:
SGI-8 Tachometer Interface Unit
If you decide to go this way, we can discuss wiring if you need to... but for now, I got to go racing..
