Toyota axles or D44 axles from a 78 wagoneer?
«

I have a chance to get either stock yota axles for 250.00 or Dana 44 from 1978 wagoneer axles with correct drop front /rear. Not sure which way to go? Both are gonna be stronger than stock Sammy axles but not sure which is stronger between the two upgrades? Any suggestions

I say go Yota, it's sort of in the family, so to speak, they Aisin (sp)
make Suzuki Axles also, as well as the transmissions, they are a
division of Toyota

I don't know , Just saw an add in a 4x4 mag about a company that is making BOLT ON portal boxes for D44's that give you 4 inches of lift right there! Now that sounds very interesting.

The Toyota will save quite a bit of weight! 250 for the yota's is cheap, I would go that route!
Where are you buying them? Around here in the Salem Or are the front is 250-350.
