All the chips I have seen for these are scams, or a stupid resistor to
fool the ECU into thinking the air is cold to enrich the mixture.

I would say put a 2" exhaust system and a free flow cat, muff of your choice,
I like quieter muff, not like cadillac quiet, but not flowmaster either, the only
other thing would be a free flow air filter, other than that Turbo  >:D

I've got a 2ltr. Your not going to get much more out of it. I did notice a difference when I installed a 2.25 muffler set up. If your going with bigger tires then drop the 5:13 sidekick gears in there. DO NOT spend money on stupid little mods that claim more horsepower. Save your money and find a V6

thanks guys turbo would be nice but isnt compression a little too high to be reliable I put 235's on it an it did take away some gear and killed fuel mileage maybe going to check out the exhaust route and jeffs spacers

mild boost of 4-5 PSI would be a big bump in HP, like 30 or so
and would run just fine as long as the Compression Ratio is 9-9.5

The multi port system don't seem to need any or much change, my
TBI system required a secondary computer (megasquirt) and the addition
of 4 fuel injectors into the 8V manifold, lots of work

ECU for a 2ltr should be flashable but there are a couple of different processors used worldwide. You won't gain much on a stock engine.

Not much available these days except the undertaker
unless you are an auto trans, then manual trans gears
would help

I am sure with a few simple bolt-on performance parts with a standalone fuel and ignition management system some significant gains could be had, the Honda civic tuners have been doing it for years, If there is any compatibility with a Honda Bseries, that could open up some possibilities for a laptop programmable stand alone ECU. Or even one of the in line air fuel, ignition controllers could possibly be used to see some gains.

For the price of all those electronics, stand alone fuel and ignition controllers, and the required sensors  ( wideband 02, and compatable interface cables) you could turbo that thing using the stock fueling system and stock ECU, run 5/6 lbs boost with great results. The biggest hurdle is building the turbo manifold, once that's done the rest is just details.

There just is no comparison to a turbocharged engine.
