T case options
« on: February 07, 2016, 01:43:41 PM »
I'm looking to do a 2.3 aerio swap into my zuki buggy and I'm undecided on a t case..  currently I'm running a turbo 1.6l sami trans and sami 6.5-1 case..  it's been good but I find I use 3rd gear alot on climbs for momentum..  I'm leaning towards going to a married sidekick case with 4.24 gears... I'm worried this might be a strength downgrade though?   Anyone blowing up sidekick gears?

I run the stock sidekick t-case with the calmini rockcrawler gearset w/automatic and XL7 2.7 liter V6. I've been borderline abusive to the powertrain for going on 10 years no problems...

Good luck - Eric

Right on that's good to hear...  I'm thinking they are alot tougher than most would assume..  can't find much info on broken parts!
