I am thinking of doing a SPOA lift on my 1986 Suzuki Samurai but i am still not sure.
What are some pro's and con's of doing this lift?

There is some great discussions on this if you do a search for SPOA or 'SPOA vs' on the search tab at the top of the screen to help you decide one way or another.

The first question is what is the lift for?  Is it a DD or a Trail only rig?  What size tires are you looking to run, and what is your budget?  What is the intended use of the vehicle?

If you are just looking to run some 30" tires and do some back road running a set of 2.5" lift springs from OME would probably work perfect, you just need to trim the front bumper a bit.  I like the look of Bigzook's rig with the 30" tires and OME springs:

For a SPOA put together at home the Sky Manufacturing kit is a great starting point, http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=92, as it gives you half of the OTT (Over The Top) steering to get rid of bump steer and gives you the wrap-around spring pads that makes re-welding the spring mounts on the axles a piece of cake.

ya it is gonna be a daily driver with a little bit of muddin here and there and some climbing but nothing big.
right now i really dont have a budget but i am looking for as cheap as possible but still good.

SPOAs create a steering problem called bumpsteer.

The ultimate fix is an Over The Top (OTT) steering system.

However - you can live with it in a DD if you have nerves of steel.  I did for 6 years... and I would not recommend driving without some sort of bumpsteer fix.  Put another way - minus the double-negative  - Fix the bumpsteer as part of an SPOA installation!
