The only way to get a high range drop is the undertaker or a Samurai T-Case.  Are you keeping the stock 4cyl or looking to drop in a V6?

This is why im posting here you guys are the experts on this stuff. im actuall only going to run 35 or 36's. would the 4.10 be ok
I also will be upgrading the t-case gears.

 so the 6:1 gears will turn the 36's good on the street with  the 4.10 or should i go 4.56 or 5.29?

one question tho could i use the 4 :1 or the 4.9:1 t case gears and still turn he 36s on the street?

I'm confused here... are you planning a Ifs abortion or toy solid axles? either way 5.29's are about as high as you would want to go. you would probably need even lower gears. (numerically higher)

The low side of a Tracker case in only 1.8 or so. So keep that in low and run whatever tcase behind it. This will put the 4.10 feel like 7.38s. So either go bigger in tires or higher in diff gear ratio.

What is the tallest Toyota gear ratio? Anything in the high 2's?

can you even do a kicker doubler anymore? I called OTT and they said not making anymore

With the XL7 automatic you should be able to change your output shaft over to a Toyota style and bolt up a transfer case from a Tacoma, not sure about the Suzuki 4 speed.  But it is a standard ASIAN transmission so possibly?

The only Toyota axle gearing I can find is 4.10, 4.88 and 5.29 as after-market.

I built a Samurai with 5.38s and a 4:1 t-case set with 35" tires and it was
way underpowered in low range but that was behind a 1.3 engine too.

I think you will want the 6:1 t-case set and 5.29 in the diffs to turn that
tall of a tire on the street.

I don't think there is any way you could run the Sidekick case in low range
and then run that through a samurai case and get any sort of highway speed

My sidekick stock in low range would go about 55 at 5000 RPM on 235 tires,
taller tires and gears might help, but I don't think you want to swap in 3.73
samurai gears to get any sort of speed for highway use, but run the #s thru
a gear and tire calculator to figure your speeds before you build

So here is the plan 2wd sidekick or tracker 2 or 4 door dont care needs to be 16v tho i want the extra HP. sammy Tcase 6.5:1.  start with the 34" and 4.10 and up grade later. Use the whole toyota IFS so I only need to make new A-arms. Will probley use t_100 CV shaft's. im thinking the end amount of lift in the suspension wil be between 8 and 14 inches.  I will lift the front and then lift the rear to mach....I know there are a lot more odds and ends like brakes , drivelines and things like that but i will leave all that for the build diary....

 
I found a great deal on a toyota frame and running gear right now it has 34"s and 4.10 gears with a welded rear. i cant get it for a few weeks tho im going on vacation on my days off. its been on craigslist for like 3 months already and has not sold so hopefully its still there.
