99 tracker gear ratio

well  after taking the third apart  Ive some how counted the pinion WRONG(twice)every time    :-[THERE ARE ONLY 8  which makes the math / gear ratio 4.875.  which is what I thought it was after counting the drive shaft /tire rotations in the rear. thanks for the help
