newbie need some help
« on: April 23, 2012, 07:07:23 PM »
My 95 sidekick is a dd too but wheel on the weekends

So I was wondering what would be the cheapest way to lock my front end to make it

Pull both wheels, but still be fine with the daily driving and I don't want to go crazy with it something simple

Thanks for the input

The problem with locking the front axle (or even installing a Lockrite or similer device) is the fact that the aluminum differential and axle housing may not last very long under the stress of a locker.

Something to think about...

As for the easiest, Low Range has a locker that will bolt into the stock aluminum carrier:

We have also swapped in steel carriers either from Grand Vitara's or modified Suzuki Samurai diffs.  Then you can use a standard lock-right or ARB.  For a dd I recommend spending the extra money on an ARB, it's worth it once you use one.
