Methods of Flexing your Suspension
« on: June 22, 2011, 05:19:56 PM »
I'm doing a RUF and will eventually get to the point where I measure my flex to determine what shock size I need

How do you all measure your flex?  I read where it's ideal to drive up a 20 degree ramp until one of the 3 grounded tires lift from the ground -- then do a measurement and etc...  Is there a quicker way with a jack?

most use a forklift, but when you dont have one you can always take the trusty highlift jack and a ratchet strap or chain on the rim of one of the tires. then jack up till a tire lifts off the ground. or if you have an over head lift or a hoist you can do that way too. but lift from the tire, that way you get the max flex out of it.
