I am guessing the demand wasn't there, so they stopped making them.  Good luck finding someone with a "friend" at richmond....they won't make just a set or two.  People have tried to get people to go in on a "group buy" to get enough demand for richmond to make another run....but that's hasn't ever panned out.
I have never heard of anyone even talking about making 6.30 gears for a trackick.  I don't see how that would even be possible....the pinion gear is damn small on the 5.83s...I hate to see how small it would be with 6.30s.

I will back sky up 100% not enough call for that gear. And A 6:30 sounds pretty impossible to make hold up with a pinion head the size of your thumb lol

The closest gear sets available are the super rare 5.63's that came in 1.3L Trackicks of a certain vintage, 1989 I think. They can be had, check out SkyHiranger for availability.

Yeah, the only place 5.62/5.63s are found are in 89 sidekicks that had a carbed 1.3 (most 89s had EFI 1.6s) and a 5 speed manual tranny.  They are very rare, but I do have some for sale. ;D

yeah , richmond had a poll going on pirate4x4 .com they said they had a new way of making them with a pinion roughly the same size as the 5:83's . guess not enough people chimmed in  , haven't heard much since , when stuff that is that important comes up  , we need to pass it along to other sites so we can get enough people together for richmond to go ahead with the build !

As the 5.83s?  Typo?
As the gears get lower, the ring gear gets thicker (in trackick gears) and the pinion gets smaller.  So I think the only way to make a 5.83 pinion bigger is to add more teeth to the pinion and make the ring gear thinner and add more teeth to the ring gear as well.

From what I have heard from those who really wheel, the 5.83's are not strong enough to stand up to real abuse. A much better solution these days I think is Trail Tough's "Undertaker". I bought the 5.83's in lil Suzy back in the 90's and they have held up fine under the demands of a 1.6 8V and 33's and before that 31" Boggers. 5.83's only give you enough reduction to get back to normal with 31's if you go bigger as I have, the gear ratio is inadequate  The Undertaker gear set is designed to run 33's with 4.62 gears. I think that once you add up all the costs of installing new R&P's the Undertaker is about the same cost and more reliable.

thank you , i was wondering about that undertaker and if it was a more viable option , i think even with the shaft changes and the going to higher gears  , it still sounds more viable because it will allow for going bigger in the future . have you personally run an undertaker ?

I am one of the lucky ones with 5:83s.  They have held up just fine through the years.

I would only consider the undertaker if I had a 4dr Sidekick imho.
