You have to remove the cable from inside the drum, there are round beads
on the ends of the cables that have to be got loose from the actuation lever

You will need to remove the drum to disconnect the cable from inside the drum..

sweet! i got it off.  got the rear end completely off, front diff is gone, so i am down to the frame and ready to order my gears to put my axles under!!!  I did hit a snag though.  i was taking off that Calmini rear brake cable and the hard line that runs down the frame broke.  I havent had time to check but do you know ruffly how much that costs.

and should i start my build post now? or would you like to wait till the end.

I would start the build post now.  That way we can see it progress.  :)

No idea about the line for the brake cable though.  Do you mean the brake line or the wire for the E-Brake.

The newest Petersons 4wheel and Off Road has a good article on making your own brake lines.  I would just give Hawk Suzuki a call, they should be able to hook you up with a new one.
