I have 5.13 gear's in my sidekick. i want to go lower gear's than that.so what year of sidekick an which motor and trany do i need to look for that will have lower factory gear's

91 4 door sidekick, 8V engine, 5 speed tranny=5.38s.
89 2 door sidekick, 1.3 carbed engine, 5 speed tranny=5.62s.

Pretty rare to run across either.  Although, I have ran across 2 or 3 of each in the several years I have been into samurais and trackicks.
I do have bolt in 5.38s and 5.62s for trackicks, listed in the classifieds section.

I have a chance to buy a 89 2 door sidekick with a 1.6 16 valve motor not installed with a 5 speed trany for $800 i was told that year should have 5.62s gear's, should i buy it or pass on it? i wouldn't mind the lower gear's in my sidekick.

If you can verify it has the 5.62s, then it sounds like it would be a good deal.  But if it doesn't, then it's not so good of a deal, IMO.

I will only have the low gears if it was originally a 1.3L motor.
