I'm not saying that... If it was me, I'd figure out a way to have the bump stop perch and the new shock mount live together in peaceful harmony. You know if you're struggling with this or just want more direct answers I'd give Brent a call. He's really great about answering questions on his products.

I talked to Trail Tough on Thursday and they guy on the phone told me that they remove the bumpstops and just use the shocks that have the built in bumpstops. I have seen the shock mounts rip holes in the frame without bumpstops and the guy on the phone confirmed that this can happen when the shock mount is not welded on correctly... Sky manufacturing makes some hoops that mount behind the stock bumpstops. I have the F250 style shock mounts ordered but still not sold on using them yet. I am going to look it over once I get everything else done and see what I can come up with for a bumpstop before I cut the factory one off. I will have a bumpstop because I don't want to risk a hole in my frame.

 I highly recommend a proper bumpstop, as you know it keeps the shock mount intact for its intended purpose of just holding the shock. Also remember that the TT yj kit thrusts the axle forward and the stock bumstop will no longer be centered over the axle. Also the spoa configuration causes the stock bumpstop to just barely touch the outside 1/4 of the spring plate. This lands it directly on the rear half of the ubolt and nut and quickly gets chewed.
     I angled my ford shock towers and lower mounts, along with extending and angling the stock bumpstops. I also welded  1-1/2" square tubing across the spring plate to keep the ubolts from touching the rubber bumpstop, and provide more lateral contact.

Now i had an older kit on my sammy with no missinng link rear and i just used the shocks bumpstop, but mine was kinda a special case because the springs i had were indestructable and hella flexy. most YJ springs wouldnt take the crap i threw at mine(as you can see in the pic above). thinking back now, i cut quite a few tires and had to replace a couple shocks because the bumpstop dissapeared so these days I would agree with eric about modifying the stock bumpstop to work in harmony with the shock mounted bumpstops.

Yeah I think Ill have to figure something out.... But Figured I would share my progress so far.
