Anybody tried one of these or something similar? If so how was the install, and how well did it work compared to the OEM fan?
I'm thinking about getting a hawk aluminum radiator and maybe something like this to upgrade my cooling, since my sammy is running a tiny bit warmer than I would like. She's not actually over heating, but I fear come summer that it may be a problem, and since I have diesel conversion, I really, really, don't want to warp the head when I jam a turbo on it

A little spendy for me, I picked up and continue to find all sorts of electric fans in the junk yards, $10 - $25.. They're everywhere. Pick up a wiring kit like this

and you can turn it off, on , run all the time or at your setting.

X2 for one out of a junkyard. I got this one YEARS ago and has run great. I don't like those temp switches because they just stick in the radiator fins. I would go to a local parts store that still has books and search for a factory temp switch that would plumb in my cooling system.


Plus, they have a shroud built in witch I think makes all the difference.

For starters, if you are running a little hot, look into why that is happening
and fix the problem. Second, adding a turbo to a diesel engine will cool the
exhaust gas temps, I think this will carry through in that you will get a more
efficient engine and less wasted heat in the radiator
