I have gone thru 4 cables in 1 year and a few thousand miles. They never felt all that free or smooth. I had my cousin order a jap built cable for me yesterday and added a thickwalled rubber tube and then thermal wrap where it pased by the header. This jap cable is as smooth as silk and has very little effort to push the clutch in.
