You won't find many folks running that large of a body lift. Most would rather use some type of suspension lift. A few folks run body lifts 1" or so because of an engine change and need a bit more hood clearance.

Body lifts tend to tear up the Sammi body underneath by poking holes through the mount area. The can be unstable depending on your type of wheeling and yes there is a tip over factor as you raise up and especially on an incline can change the stability triangle within the vehicle.

As you mentioned alot of folks flip the axles... (that is an old school term) or run SPOA lifts (spring over axle). This and your choice of springs can give you adequate lift to run 33's.

YJ / Cj jeep springs and missing link shackles or a RUF (rear samurai springs up front) and relocation plates, missing links or extended shackles will get you there.

There are a boatload of methods to choose from and research is your best friend. Start reading anything and everything about the different type of Samurai lifts and what is required. It will help you tons.

Gearing is a bit similar depending on how you want to wheel. I run 5:12 / 5:13 differential gears and a 6:5:1 transfer gears on 34x9.5x15 TSL's off road and on the road and love em. I don't drive the highway very often. Mostly around town and to play, and I don't rock crawl.

So there is some food for thought to get you started...

By the way we love photos so lets see what you have goin on there....  ;)
I know the voices aren't real.... but they have some pretty kewl ideas!!! Tux.....  ;-)

Might I recommend an engine swap? Unless all your going to do is crawl that 1.3L wont be enough. I wasted alot of time and money on mine and ended up upgrading to a 1.6L. Its not complete yet but hopefully i will be as happy with it as everyone else who has done it.

You will need driveshaft spacers if after your lift you have too much (>3/4") spline showing on your driveshafts. Some do and some dont.

Longer brake lines are cheap and yours are probably due for replacement anyway. Get some nice long springs like the ones you see on the hoses of tractor trailers to keep them up and away from the wheels etc.

Also, work on your writing skills, it will help you get replies here and elsewhere.  ;)

The aftermarket suppliers are a wealth of knowledge if your pleasant to talk to on the phone.
Whats a guy gotta do to earn some respect around here?

awesome thanks for the information and replies anything help.... i have been reading up on some forums on here and elsewhere, i will post pix soon..... im not a big fan of the body lift either but it is already installed and came with it so i might jus run it for now..... im jus gonna use it to cruise around trails and mud a little nothing to extreme taking it one step at a time i know the 1.3 lacks the power to turn 33s the way i would like but as i get extra money ill soon do a swap but as of now im gonna run the 1.3 till it blows
