Not really. Ask around on the Aerio or SX4 forums as I think someone was looking at them, maybe Road Race Motorsports? I did find one place in Europe but you needed to sell a kidney for them.

You could always get these as he still has them http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=261970541

You could also try contacting superfly on the TeamSwift forum as he does cam work.

How could we find out if there is a difference between the cam shaft of a 127 HP Tracker, and the 145 HP Aerio?

You could compare the part numbers - or - you could compare the cams themselves.

There are two different cams listed for the Aerio (based on the MY) - 12711-62G00 (intake) and 12721-62G00 (exhaust) - for the second set, change the last five characters to 62G01 - this of course does not tell you what the differences are, but only that there is a difference.

The Vitara which I believe uses the same cams as the Tracker uses the first set of numbers above (the 62G00 ones.

Maybe comparing the cams themselves would be the better way to go - for a quick & dirty check grab a caliper and measure the height of a lobe, if they are the same then the cam is probably the same - note this would not be definitive as you are only looking at lift and completely ignoring the actual timings & duration.

Keep in mind it's not all about HP, you need torque to move a load, and
if you have a heavier vehicle, (Tracker vs Aerio) you might not like the
end result

This is extremely true.  diesels are excellent examples of this truth.  low rpm torque is great for many things, except top speed really.

Well, looks like I'll get to see for myself. The GF's Tracker is getting the Aerio engine with Tracker aspiration. As soon as I plug up the leaky tranny. ;)
