T&C Heated Seats
« on: January 13, 2018, 09:04:08 PM »
Hello to All,

I recently purchased a pair of the T&C seats from Petroworks (The Mini Van Ones), come to find out they are equipped with a heating element already in the seats and need to be wired, but no instructions and Petroworks have not yet had to install any, there appears to be 4 wires, has anybody had any experience with these? On a side note I have already installed them and they are amazing and highly recommend them. Any help in appreciated.

I’d guess it’s a hot and a ground for each of the seat and backs.  Supply 12v to them.  You should be able to put an ohm meter across the wires.  If I’m right you should find two pairs that have some amount of resistance, the heating coils, and other combinations of wires should be open circuits, infinite resistance.

It is possible that the second pair of wires is for a temp control or safety device.  I would keep looking for info.

Are all the wires the same gauge?
