trackick 4wd trans to Sami T'case? Will work properly?
« on: March 10, 2011, 10:03:52 AM »
Hi all!
Will the trackick 4wd trans work with the sami tcase once the trackick tcase is removed?  The splines all line up and it should work but is the output strong enouph to run with the intermediate shaft attached?
Thx.

why not keep the kick T/C, loose the jack shaft and bolt kick case to Sammy case directly flange to flange? end up with dual cases that way! and shouldn't be any longer overall. just make sure to integrate a cradle for the 2nd case.

Yeah I contacted them a month ago there not making suzuki parts anymore.  Web site is worthless lol >:(

What i have will work i just need to know if that shaft is strong enough cuss its abt 2.5" longer without being in a sleeve like the 2wd trans does.  I dont see why I couldn't do it as long as the intermediate shaft is perfectly straight so there is no left right up or down pressure on the trans shaft.

There is another company that makes a 'shogun' doubler.  I forget who it was though.

As for the original question, no idea.  :)

The original plan was to run a Samurai tcase 6.5.1 grs with 2wd trackick trans with 5.13s in diff to help drive line angle cuss its 2dr model.  If I run a 35 tire is the 6.5.1 gears be low enough with just the Sami tcase??  Or should I be making a doubler like your pic?  I got parts to do either way I just have to figure out what I need/want do....   I wana build it right the 1st time lol.

the short wheel base kinda sux for doubling transfercases  I would think youd have enuf gearing with 5/13s &6.5to 1s. my set up has 4/62s and stock t/c gearing in both  and i have run fat  35"boggers for years on a a heavy ass trailonly 4 door  I think (If guys still use this )your crawl ratio would be lower than my set up(but I tend to build with what I have & can get real cheap thats what atracted me to suzukis in the first place . but think what it would be with the 6/5to 1 & the double set up. my set up(16vtracker trans t/c & sami t/c) is about 9" longer than a samurai engine trans shaft /&t/c
