I have a set of Camoplast UTV tracks that I am mounting on my 1990 Tracker.  The problem is the hub diameter and length make it difficult to mount.  The best solution would be to have a flush hub.  Would a Suzuki Grand Vitara hub flange replace the standard auto hub on the Geo?

Sort of.  Go pull the front hub off a 1999-2004 Tracker/Vitara.  They have one piece hubs that are about as close to flat as you will get.  The downside is you loose the ability to unlock your hubs, but if your running tracks I don't think the loss in mileage will affect you to much.

You will want the front engaged all the time anyways, we found on the aTV's and UTV's with the tracks that in 2wd that the increase in engine effort was substantial, the front tracks acted as braking plows.

we had alot more fun running the tracks in the rear only and running smooth sand ballon tires with a center rib up front, especially out on the lake!

I kept the tracks when I sold my Rzr thinking I might someday do this exact thing.

Hey Cheeto - The tracks are off a Kubota UTV diesel with a 5 hole 4.5" pattern.  I have to adapt from a 5.5" to the 4.5".  I will use a 1" wide aluminum adapter/spacer but the problem is the auto hubs on the tracker that stick out 3" and is almost 3" diameter.  On a previous post, it looks like I can use a hub flange off a newer tracker to mostly eliminate the hub.  It will be locked in all the time anyway as it is going to be used for ice-fishing.  I will send pictures when done.

I'm lucky in that my Rzr had a 4x6.25 bolt pattern. I.E. larger circle than the Tracker. I'm unlucky in the fact that I haven't found someone that will build custom adapters for a reasonable price...though I haven't looked too hard.

The tracks for that Kubota are actually the same tracks that fit on the Rzr, just different drive wheel. Something I recently learned about the Rzr set is that Camoplast supplies them with a 17 tooth front and 18 tooth rear. This is to fool the "on-demand" of the Rzr into engaging both diffs because it thinks the rear is slipping. I don't know if Kubota uses a similar system or if they have a dedicated diff-lock like Yamaha does on the Rhino. Something to consider since it would cause binding in the Tracker running gear. The binding forces could be released in the snow with track slippage but it would still be costing you efficiency. Again, this might not be an issue at all with the Kubota drive gears on the Camoplast tracks.

One of the reasons I settled on a Tracker was that it's weight was close to that of the Kubota diesel so I knew the tracks could support it if I ever actually got around to trying them.
