great! the pics are here!
now about my little truck, 660cc's of pure, raw, uh... well... it runs really smooth and cruises nicely at about 50mph. no tach but i plan on getting one soon, very soon. most importantly, it has the 2 speed transfer case with shift-on-the-fly 4wd Hi. really need it here on the marginally improved mountain back roads. i'm just needing the right tires that will best fit my needs. 155R12 street tires are fine, but a more aggressive tread pattern is required. i'll probably go with 185/75R13's as there are so many more options in that size here. also, i'm considering locating one of the electric diff-lock rear axles and having it bolted up for some extra traction.
my best guess is that when these things are disassembled in Japan, the plastic ventilation duct work, circulating fan, and electricals for those are removed. even the fresh air intake hole in the firewall has a plate welded over it. so, of course, it gets pretty warm up front. plan is to cut the intake hole open again and rig up some sort of tubing to direct fresh air flow where i want it. additionally, i want to make another opening in the seat tower right under the drivers seat. the engine is offset and sits right under the seat. here i will install a computer case fan to help move the engine heat from under the seat toward the rear under bed area of the truck. hope all this works out. if it does i'll post up more pics showing my "handiwork".
so, about the only thing left will be a radio and speakers for some tunes. the standard am radio works, but i'll find something small with usb/mp3 capabilities for real music.
ok, guess that's about it for now.
