Hard Hot Clutch
« on: April 07, 2010, 11:24:19 AM »
Hey guys,  im having a bit of an issue with the tracker.

When everything gets warmed up, (atleast an hour of road time)  It doesnt like to get into gear.  It takes a full force shove to get it into gear. especially first.   My first idea was the clutch cable I installed last fall, but it is all perfect when starting out for the day.

Also when going into reverse, it makes a loud CLUNK, which you can feel just as much as hear.

Any ideas?

sounds like its out of adjustment when it warms up parts expand and the clutch is on releasing all the way   check your free play when its all warmed up

If you shut the engine off, will it go into gear easily?  If so, it is probably the clutch itself.....assuming the clutch cable is good and adjusted properly.
