I cracked my drivers side mirror on my 1991 Sammy. It looks like the glass is bonded in place somehow but I don't want to break the glass off until I have a replacement in hand. I can buy a glass piece online for cheap or a complete new mirror for a couple dollars more. If it's a simple matter of just gluing the new glass in with silicone or double back tape then I'll probably do that because then I'll keep my original frames and not have some cheap aftermarket piece.

So is it as easy as it seems? What is the best product to glue the new glass in with?
