Depends on what you want and how much you wanna spend. Full hi-steer some say is the best and the way to go for the ultimate in steering control. It gets your tie rod above the axle.

1/2 hi-steer accomplishes good results in steering control but leaves the tie rod in the OEM position.

If you were a rock crawler the full hi-steer makes more sense to me. As a mud runner then mayne not as much.

See that "Z bend" in the Rocky Road kit - that says "poor design" to me - the Low Range one may or may not be better, I'd have to see the angle of the drag link with it installed to be sure, but the Z bend in the Rocky Road kit will cause bump steer (or more bump steer).

I know the one pic doesnt have the full hi-steer but i would get the whole kit.  What worries me is the mounting points of the two kits are different.  Lowrange looks to be held on at each end by two bolt holes where the rockyroad looks to go in over the knuckle and has the two bolt holes.  Good point about the z bend!  Gonna order lowrange this pm unless anyone else thinks other wise.....

Oh another thing that worries me is that at rockyroad they ask for the amount of lift to determine the the length of the steering arm yet at lowrange they dont.....

Well - I went to the LowRange site and found this...

Do you see the angle the drag link is at - that's just as bad as the Z bend in the Rocky Road kit - from a bump steer point of view.  Of course the picture was taken with the suspension at ful droop and not with the weight of the vehicle on it.

Ideally you want the drag link as close to horizontal as you can get it with the vehicle at "normal ride height" - either by raising the steering arm on the knuckles (hence the term hi-steer) or lowering the end on the steering box

That rig in the picture is at full droop with folding shackles.  When sitting on the tires it is probably lined up properly.

I used the Sky Manufacturing kit for years and never had a problem.  Just had half a high steer, it worked fine other then bending a tie rod on a stump during a speed run during a 4x4 comp.

Drone - correct me if I'm wrong - folding shackles pivot in three places rather than two?

If I'm right on that, I suggest you take a closer look at the picture - the top of the shackle looks to me like it's attached to a fairly substantial box section welded to the frame.

Yes - it is on full droop as I acknowledged earlier.

Looks like I didn't look closely enough last night.  Your right, looks like they built an extended front shackle mount.  I just saw the two bolt setup on top and figured it was a folding shackle rig.

The sky kit bolts up to the caliper Bolts, if you break those you are really doing something, I had the rocky road kit and sold it first thing on modifying my rig to make it safer.

http://www.puresuzuki.com/hi_steer_system.htm No problem, I picked up a camini full high steer not too long ago and have not installed it yet but it is going on an off road only rig and it has to have 2.5 inch offset wheels to run it, this is one heavy set up and it has six mounting points.
