94 geo tracker lift
« on: July 20, 2009, 10:18:40 PM »
i need a cheep lift for the geo. my girlfriend will be weelin it so it has to be safe and nothing to crazy maby 3 to 4 inches. it has 31 10.50s on it and i have trimed as much as i can without having to make new inner fenderwells to keep the mud out of the truck. they scrub when you flex more than a foot or so and this is her first mud truck so i dont want her to have to deal with the line picking i do now to keep from over flexin and binding the tire. she dont want it to be parked for to long while we lift it cuz we wheel it most every weekend so a weekend install would be nice. also i have never had to deal with IFS so any help or info on the dos and donts of IFS would be great.

I make a 2" suspension lift kit for trackers. The kit comes with
4 machined aluminium coil spacers
2 steel strut spacers(powder coated)
1 rear diff 3rd link spacer (powder coated)
and all hardwear
The kit is $300 Canadian

Here is a picture of what it looks like

If the Tracker is a 2 door, get some GV 4 door springs.  That will give you 1 1/2 inches, and the ride is much better than spacers.  As the demand for GV springs is not that big, neither is the price.  You will want to put strut spacers in also, because there is not much drop left on stock struts.
93 Tracker,XL7 springs & 1" raised spring pads in front with YJ springs in back, home built bumpers rear & front (w/winch), 2" x 4" rock tubes,  ARB front & rear, converted Sami rear to IFS, 33x12.5x15  aluminum rims, roll cage, 2.7L w/5 speed auto.

Don't forget to buy new rear shocks if you're going to lift it.  You can use shocks from a 91 Ford Crown Victoria, and 95(i think) ford mustang.  Those shocks(and some others probably) will be long enough to work with a few inches of lift.
