It would be ok to run you'r stock leaf springs with the SPOA setup.when i did my SPOA i just used my stock leaf's.that add a leaf in the front look's like a leaf out of some thing else.it should ride softer w/o the add a leaf's.

I would pull the bottom leaf off of the front springs and add a z bar to the front at the very least, and save up for some softer shocks. if your bumpers will hold you just jump on them your rig should move at least two or three inches.

Yes i agree take the lower leaf off the front and at least put a z bar on or do a nice x cross steering.

Yes I was planning on upgrading the steering as soon as I can afford it. Which one do you recommend the Petroworks or the Calmini?

Just curious... how many leaves will be remaining in the spring pack once you remove the add a leaf? (both front and rear) Your front kinda looks like 3. and... I didn't go back to look at the rear in the video.

I'm thinking you will want to add some stock leaves to both packs depending on what you have left. I can't tell you for a Spoa set up what is optimum but I am sure someone else will have some insight.

I like trail toughs and Sky's, I have a calmini and it is very heavy,(it's full over the top kinda over kill for off roading once and a while.)  I ran a rocky road first and sold that cheap ! so those are the ones that I know about.

There are 3 stock leafs and 1 short 'add-a-leaf' on both front and rear. I will try and bring to some place flat and measure it before and after if I can remember because my driveway is gravel. The guy I bought it from said that the add-a-leafs raise it like 3", that I find that very hard to believe but then again the stock leafs are very flat and there is a fair amount of bow in these.

Just curious.... I ask because I run a RUF set up. On the front I have the stock sami rear springs with the over load spring removed and the bottom two leaves from a stock sami front added. On the rear I have 3" Calamini springs.

I have been thinking about adding an add a leaf to each spring pack to gain more a few more inches of clearance for my 34's vs. going Spoa.

I might be interested in your add a leaves if the would arch the current spring pack up a minimum of 2".... 

 I think the best way to go would be YJ spings you can get them from jeep shops for next to nothing and the ride is 100% better plus they're stonger and safer.

Let me ask my brother-in-law(He's got a Cherokee) to make sure that he doesn't want them but if not I don't mind giving them to you for Shipping + time/gas($5 maybe).

I won't probably get to the project till Tues. so I'll hit you up then if they lift the amount your looking for.

I need to fab up some bump stops so I don't ruin my springs if I hit a big bump/obstacle. Notice that bolt sticking up in the middle of the plate. I was going hopefully find a bump stop that will thread to that bolt. Then tightening it up then mesureing the distance from it to the plate and cutting some pipe stock roughly the same OD as the bump stop and then put it on first and a washer on top of that and then the bump stop tightening it against the washer and pipe.

Does that make any sense? And/or do you see any issues with that?

When you say that you wish it was stock, do you mean you want to get rid of the SPOA?  Looking at the lift a set of spring pads from Sky Manufacturing would allow you to just swap back to the stock suspension.

Unless your driving Fire Roads as a daily driver the bump stops would be on my lower priority list. If your trying to avoid a welder then I suppose your replied method would work.

I think that is you watch the different forum classified ads and Craigslist / Ebay you can find OEM without much problem for very little. Then with a steady hand a a few high powered passes the issuse would be no more....
