« on: June 17, 2010, 07:36:45 PM »
I got a stock Sammie about 3 weeks ago. So far I have 3inch trail gear leafs 1 inch shackle lift. Besides u-bolts and bushings..what else am I gonna need? I am staying SPUA for the time being...will I need driveshaft spacers?

Thanks for the help..

I might be mistaken but usually any lift requires spacers for the driveline.

Would I just need a 1 inch for the rear?

Longer shocks, drop pitman or Z link, Bump stop extension (at least on the front) Maybe drive shaft spacers, sway bar bracket extensions( you may have to fab them). I am probably forgetting something but that's a start. I have heard that lift springs ride rough though.

someone else could probably say for sure but you might want to get some extended brake lines
if a bigger hammer, bigger tires or more gas doesn't help... your doing it wrong.

extended brake lines are kind of important, yes.   well no actually they arent. stopping is overrated.

I would wait on the driveline spacers, see if you need them first.  If you shorten your drive line up to much it will cause the driveline to smash into the transfer case on compression, which will result in broken t-case mounts and busted cases.

I have about the same lift(2" Calmini SR and 1 1/2 to 2" OME springs and my brake lines are fine. Put on the lift and jack up the frame untill the front end droops as far as it can and check the lines for slack.
