My 98 Sidekick's condenser fan does not come on. Does anyone know where the condenser fan relay is located?

It only runs when the AC is on.
The relay is over by the MFB (main fuse block) over in front of the battery.

I was being lazy as troubleshooting in the Vegas heat is no fun. I was able to find it this morning and discovered that he ground wire from the fan to the chassis was bad. I like easy fixes!

Does the ground for the fan run on the passanger side and connect around the main fuse box? Or does it route to the driverside inner fender?  Ive found grounds at both sides that seem to run to the fan and cant find the correct one without pealing all the wire casings off.

I'm not sure.  Why do you need to know?

Well im having the same issue and actually getting pretty hot from it not running. Its getting power just havent dug in deep to see where the ground is but i did see what im asuming are ground (s) running to each side.  Im going to have to get a meter to do anything.  Now would any one suggest if i removed the radiator fan to go with an electric one; would it be ok getting a larger then stock fan to have one electric fan replace the engine driven  fan and condensor fan?

Yes, what you are seeing are grounds.
To simply check the ground on the fan, just take a meter and put one lead on the ground wire in the plug at the fan and the other lead to any good ground source, then see if you have continuity.  If you do, then the fan is probably bad.  If you don't, then the ground connection isn't good (either corroded/rusted, or you haven't got a good connection with one of your meter leads).
I'd suggest testing the stock fan clutch first, to make sure it is working correctly.  A properly functioning engine driven fan and clean coolant system should cool the engine fine.
If you are having problems with it overheating only when you are running the AC, then once you get the electric fan to working, it should keep eveything cool.
I would keep both fans.
