WHY IS MY TCASE SHIFTER STUCK?!
« on: February 17, 2012, 10:11:51 PM »
I was replacing the clutch today and when I put the T-Case back in I wanted to make sure I had it all back in right and I hadn't knocked it out and it shifted into 4X4, not sure which one because I was under while my step dad was shifting, now it's stuck, I think maybe the shifter has pulled out part of the way or something because it still wiggles a little but will not move out of gear. How do I fix this?? I've never had one do this to me.

take the shifter out by pushing down and turning counter clockwise on the shifter retaining collar lift out shifter
look down in shfit hole and locate the shift shafts you will notice a notch in each shaft
get big enough screw driver to get down in there to pop the shaft that is back forward
lining the two notches up replace the shift sheet (bushing) that shifter sets on and reinstall shifter
you will be good to go.call LOW RANGE OFF ROAD for bushing |removethispart|@ 888-SAMURAI
