I'm not totally sure where I'm losing brke fluid, but its a gradual leak, only every like month I have to add some fluid.   I know its not pads wearing out, that doesnt happen this quick.   

Combine this with a brake pedal that usually feels soft,  but now and then it'll get nice and firm like it should be.  I dont fully understand it. 

I know my pads and rotors are due for replacement, theres no doubt about that, but still, that shouldnt cause a soft pedal. 

where are the most likely leaks to be on a samurai?     I've checked front calipers, they're dry,  rears I've yet to tear into.  lines look alright.

Just finished looking, I think my master is going on me, its all corroded, and I'm seeing evidence of brake fluid having dripped down the inside of the fender below it, which kinda says failing master to me. 

So I THINK I've got it down, although I still need new pads/rotors

Ya that sounds like the master is going.  Replace, bleed and see how it goes.  Its possible a caliber is leaking but you would see signs of that so I think your good.

Yeah, I've looked over calipers and not seen any signs of fluid loss at that level, and hoses all look solid.      a remanufactured master isnt super pricey, so I dont mind much.   not the worst problem ever.
