ok just pickup my sammy today for 600 bucks not a bad deal i think body is in mint condition and it came with I think 8v motor out of a geo tracker year unknown (how can i find out the year) and looking to install the 1.3 i have the guy was rebuilding it but i heard the 1.6 is the way to go.  i was gonna cut the sammy up and put it on my 78 chevy frame with a 350 but the sammy body is in to good of condition to cut on plus i like to learn how to do new things. i dont really know alot about motors but the basic stuff and im new to this site so if you have a write up i would appreciate yall leasding me in the right direction i probably find it but like i said im new to the site like 5mins new lol ....things i know .
                     will need tranmission to motor adapter bigger radiator i think...engine mounts for 1.6 not really sure if i can use the same ones as the 1.3  and well thats about all i know but will be researching lol just excited and ready to go but know i need to go slow to do it right.

there are alot of good write ups on here for swapping in motors.. in the search bar just type in something like 1.6 upgrade or look through the build section... if you can't find anything, I can find one my buddy did and post up the link... bigger radiator is not needed, no the motor mounts from a 1.3 won't work, the 1.6 sits higher if i'm not mistaken, there alot of good places to look for swap kits.... I like the petroworks, it's a nicer kit imho... but ppl go different ways due to money or preferance...  good luck on the search, and keep us updated...

been looking and researching and found a complete 1.6 kit with brackets and trans adapt plate from rockyroad.com for a good price now looking at rebuild kits on ebay and manuals and looking at alot of write ups from the site. just ready to get it started and ready to go lol. but i look forward to learning and doing it myself. will keep updated when i start.
