'95 Kick signal wiper cruise assembly
« on: November 29, 2009, 11:26:44 PM »
Anyone know the years that are compatible, mine is suffering from the " buzzes like mad til I jiggle it " syndrome. I don't mind the jiggle part so much but the smoke and smell concerns me. I got one off craigslist but it seems to be only a signal wiper model and doesn't have the cruise arm. I did find one that looks identical from a '91 but don't want to waste anymore $$. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Is there someplace better suited for this question?? I havent figured out how to disassemble the steering wheel to remove the assembly so there are more questions once I get a new part.

I'm in the same boat. My old kick was a 90 2dr jlx with cruse/tilt column. I didn't take apart the column though, insted I took the whole column out. Very easy to do. four bolts at the fire wall and to behind the cover of the dash. Disconnect any wires and the whole thing pulls right through the dash and out. I didn't install it in my new kick so I'm not sure about the wiring.
I would look for a four door jlx in the junkyard for cruse/tilt steering column.

I had that problem on the Gnewt.

I found a replacement "combination switch assembly" (I think that's what it's called) on... http://www.car-part.com/
