OK, did you use plastigauge to see what the clearance was?
If you had oil pressure, it must be a tight tollerance bearing, or the wrong bearing in the package,
this would starve and roast the bearing

 yep if all was done correctly then  its out of tolerances , eather the bearing , the journal  or the  conecting arm . cap itself
