I JUST smogged my convertible tracker. No kidding, just about half hour ago. It passed great! The emissions were super low! My other one just barely passed earlier this year.
I used seafoam earlier in the week. Two cans. Sucked almost a whole bottle through the vacuum line coming from the brake booster and poured about half a can into the oil and about a half into my half tank of fuel. Let it sit then drove it. Let it sit again overnight then ran it like hell again the next day and then changed the oil and filter. Then i ran it like hell right before i smogged it so it was definitely warmed up. Can't pay attention to the temperature gauge because it's the CAT that you want warmed up. Usually takes awhile to warm that up.
Did it help? I dunno but the numbers were ridiculously low across the board.
Oh and it didn't smoke like I thought it would with the seafoam. Just left a rather large black streak on the concrete where the exhaust dumped out. The only smoke came from under the hood through a very small exhaust leak on the manifold when I was pouring some down the vacuum line.
Pour a little and let it idle back up then pour more, wait. Repeat until you suck quite a bit into it.
Worked for me. Dunno of the engine just runs right or if the seafoam really worked
