Slip yoke dust cap
« on: October 08, 2019, 07:09:11 PM »
I am reconditioning my drive shafts and noticed the rear shaft slip yoke dust cap is missing.  I am talking about the cap that covers the open end of the shaft that is nearest the U-joint not the dust cover that the shaft slides through.  I can't find any reference to how to get these. Anyone know?

I'm attaching a photo of what I'm talking about.

Looks like you could use a saucer freeze plug, I'd measure & see if you coud find one to match that size.

Wound up fashioning one out of a washer.  Welded it in place and voila, dust cap.
