Water in oil question?
«

I have a Sami with stock 1.3 that was running but got a lot of water in oil. I pulled the head and had it decked and pressure checked put on a new head gasket. Did not see anything wrong visually . Started it back up and had water in oil again after 5 min. Anyone recommend something that might be causing it. Thanks. Clint

Could be a cracked water jacket in the block its self crossing over into the oil..? or possably the block needs to be decked..

The intake manifold has coolant flowing through it, a leaking gasket, where it meets the head or the carb, can result in coolant in the oil.

I'm going to try and find something to pressurize the coolant system this morning and see if I can tell anything about it. I hope it's the intake manifold gasket Fordem. Thanks for the help. c

The best way to pressurize an engine is to use a compression gauge, remove the gauge and use compressed air through the spark plug hole. With the radiator cap off If you see bubbles you have a bad head gasket or cracked block. If coolant rushes out of the radiator you got a big problem. Looks like a tear down to me.

I went to my local advance auto and checked out there coolant pressure check tool and pumped 25 lbs of pressure in the system. I noticed water dripping out of the intake gasket below the intake so I brought up the #1 piston and let it set and water gathered on top of the piston,I could see it thru the spark plug hole meanwhile the pressure had dropped to about 5 lbs. pulled the intake off and it was pitted pretty bad around #1 and #3. Took it to the machine shop to get it machined off a little. When I get it back together I will check each cylinder with pressure to see where I am at. Thanks for the help. c
