door help

door help

so i know you have better things to do than answer stupid questions lol but i cant get my doors off  tried to un screw the braket from the out side and did nothing but strip a couple screws is there a trick or a method or am i just an idiot lol  87sami

You had it half-way right.  Pulling the hinges off is one way to remove the doors.  You can also cut the hinges up to allow them to be quickly removed.

Get you an impact screwdriver.  I picked one up last month from harbor freight for under $7.  Makes it MUCH easier getting some of those stubborn screws off.

Or just cut the hinges off. Pretty easy. I did it in about an hour with a dremel tool and some little cut off wheels

Interesting enough - I don't like my impact screwdriver  :'( It's got less torque than my screw gun.. which I can lean heavily on to make sure it doesn't strip out the screw. YMMV.
