Hey guys I'm new to this forum and I was thinking about taking on my first sami project. I've found a samurai for about 200 bucks (guy wanted scrap price for it) it is pretty rusted towards the back of the tub, frame seems to be in good shape not any rusted out spots, it did run and drive guy just let it sit for about 3-5 years... I was thinking of making it into a offroad only vehicle and was wondering if it would be a good project to start on? Also if it could be made decent for about 1000 bucks give or take? I can weld and do most of the work myself too. I don't want a top of the line offroader just something to play around in. If anyone could give me some ideas or help maybe, that would be greatly appreciated since I'm still kinda new to it all and if there's any tips on saving money for projects like this.
