So I picked up a 1996 Geo Tracker 4-door, Automatic, 4x4. The frame and the rest of the body are solid with minimal rust, so it's a shame that the area at the bottom corners of the windshield on both sides are rusted due to bad seals.
My first instinct is to just drive it and forget about it, but the Windshield is cracked and in my view which sucks... I'd like to replace it but the rust is so bad in the corners, it's not going to seal back up... The driver side is the worst, because the rust has traveled all the way down the door pillar.
I have a 1990 Geo Tracker 2-door Convertible and if I remember correctly I think the windshield and door pillar areas are good.
Does anyone know if the metal in that area on a 1990 will match up to my 1996? Has anyone done this repair before? Is it worth it?
