What exactly tells a fuel pump relay to close the connection and allow power to the fuel pump on a 1993 sidekick?

I have a 1993 suzuki sidekick-4x4,auto trans-4cyl
I cannot get power to my fuel pump.this is what i did so far
no trouble codes
replaced the main and fuel pump relays
replaced the ecm
put a new fuel pump with assembly
triple ground the fuel pump
It runs great if i hit the fuel pump with a 12volt jumper
help please!!!!

I will start you off, pull the cover on the relay with the pink wire, do you have 12v going to it with the key on?

i just had this happend to me in my wifes tracker its the pink wire its broke in the rocker panal some were just put a new wire in from the ecm to the pump thats what i did n it started right up if that helps u

The ECM is what tells the fuel pump when to run.
I would check the wiring connection behind the left rear tail light.  It is known for corroding and not allowing power through it to the fuel pump.

actually i ran a fresh wire from the pump to the relay through the backseat-----the pink wire from the ecm to the relay has 12 volts but the wire that goes from the relay to the fuel pump doesn't have power?

you should be able to turn the key on and after a second or two hear the fuel pump relay turn off, if not you could try pulling the case on the fuel pump relay and close the contacts by hand and the rig should run, if so you have a triggering issue.

a triggering issue?I do know that 1 wire gets the power but besides the ecm what tells it to give the fuel pump power?I mean it has to go through a sensor to the ecm to the relay to boot up the power to cause the relay to react??

It's been a while but I think it gets input from the distributor so if you get in a wreck the engine dies and the ecm shuts off the fuel pump relay.

Totally makes sense  I did take apart the relay turned over the engine and then pressed the relay tab and it started up and ran great-lol---I will check the dist tomorrow and let you know-Thanks Bro!!!!!

Ok nothing on the dist. that i can see is bad???Also grounded the master relay the relay is also connected to the fuel pump relay and nothing-ahhhhhhhhhh-lol

i think so?I do have a rubber sealed switch or relay next to the wiper motor i do not know what it is?

I could never find a g force switch on mine, would be nice if somebody knew. there are a few free on line pdf files for the factory manuals, maybe look for one of those and see where the trigger point is or where it hooks to?

Everything i read says that a 93 sidekick has no crash relay switch?This is killing me,i might just hook a toogle to the fuel pump-lol-I'm at a loss.......
One thing though is when i first got it i replaced the back left wiring to get the lights working.They were all rotted...
Plus there is a relay by the back left speaker i do not know what it is,but it clicks?

could be for towing a trailer, there is a small white plug in there with four or six connections for the trailer lights.
