KAWBLAMMO! That's what it probably sounded like when the "spousel unit" tackled a lincoln town car 2 days after we sent in the last payment on our beloved x90.... but I'm not bitter. Well it has a new frame, front end, etc. now, but ever since the accident the overdrive light flashes. Weird thing is, the trans won't go into overdrive until the car warms up for a few miles but other than that it still works fine even with the o/d light flashing. Soooo, I'm thinking something got shook up in the crash but I don't know where to look or what to test, and I don't want to go to a trans shop and if there's some backyard ways to rectify the flashing.... any tips?

Make sure the trans fluid is correct, then get under the vehicle and look for a disconnected connector, or a connector that is on the wrong connection.

I'm not familiar with the x90 engine management but my 99 kia flashes the OD light when the computer enters limp home mode. I agree with TXR, there must be damage to the engine harness, a sensor or a drive-train component. Have you ever reset the ECM by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes?

You stated that you had the X-90 fixed... If it was an insurance claim, the mechanical damage should be fixed under the same claim.

I agree whole heartedly, the insurance company is responsible for fixing that as well, it is a result of the accident.
