Hi,

Does anybody know of a good resource that describes how to access the windshield wiper motor and actuator arms on a 1987 Samurai soft top? I've found a couple of posts referring to "removal of the cowl grill" to access the assembly, but no step-by-step procedure or photos. The Suzuki factory service manual only mentions how to test the wiper motor when it is off the vehicle, but has no info on how to get to the motor in the first place. My Haynes service manual also has no info on the procedure. Any ideas on where to look next?

Thanks!

P.S.- My wipers do actually work, they just move very slowly. My guess is that the whole wiper assembly needs to be cleaned and lubed.

Go to Acks Faq and grab the FSM (Factory Service Manual).

When you pull off your windshield frame you have access to the motor.  The arms just pop on and off.
