Back to the forum after all these years! I'm helping a friend do some work on his '87 Sammy and the more I'm doing the more I'm looking for my own. It never ends does it? Sold my Sidekick a while back so now I'll be looking for a tin top Sammy. Anyway, it's good to be back!

This little 1.3 won't turn over at all, thinking of pulling it tonight and tearing it down. I had a wrench on it earlier and it still won't turn. Wondering if it has seen some water. Any suggestions/comments would be welcome before I get down to 'er would be great. Thanks all, looking forward to sharing!

Pull the spark plugs first and see if it will turn over.  If there is something in the cylinders then that will let it come out.  But if it won't turn either direction I think your probably out of luck.
