I found this on Ebay on Wednesday.  Ordered one, if it's here by the weekend I'll install and tell you all about it.

For $50/free shipping I figured it was worth the risk.

The guy who makes those kits posted them up on these forums.  Let us know how it works out I am considering making the purchase.

I meant more detailed info than the very generic description on the ebay ad.

The clip for the center is a good idea.  How well does it work with the door on?

Works just like it did with the factory pins.  It might wear out over time, but only time will tell. 

Its definitely one windy ride with the doors off!

So you got 4 lock pins and 2 hairpins for $50.
Years ago, I put the same type of lock pins on my samurai rear seat, so I could remove it quickly.  I guess I should start selling a rear seat quick removal kit.

I wonder how many I could sell on ebay, before people realize they could go down to the local farm and home store and buy the same parts for $5?

thanks for the write up on this. no way im buying pins from him now, ill just go to the store and spend $8 to buy them rather than $100

You can buy these pins at Tractor Supply or most farm/ranch/feed stores. I'm not going to research it, but at worst you may have to drill the hole out slightly for an exact fit.

Don't you have to take the front fenders off to get at the hinges, or can you just get at the pins with the door open?
