Advice on lifting a 94 tracker 2dr
« on: October 07, 2011, 07:10:55 AM »
I want to add about 2" of lift to my 94 tracker 2dr 4wd.  After reading multiple post on here I think I have a couple options for a suspension lift.
1 buy a spacer kit, use 94 crown vic shocks on rear and stock struts on front.

2 buy a set of springs from a 4dr tracker use them, shocks for 94 crown vic on rear and stock struts on front.
my question on this option: are the 4dr springs a simple bolt on or do I have to do a lot of fab work?

What is the general consensus on the best route to go?

Any advice and pics would be greatly appreciated

I would go with spacers. the guy that had my 4door before I bought it even made his own spacers out of pipe laying around the house. if you search etdavenport on some of the forums he has pictures up of it but I cant remember where. and you can just flip the front strut mounts for the strut mount spacer that is needed.

I just bought and installed the 2" spacers of ebay.  They were the cheapest I found and had good reviews from others.  It was an easy install and I'm happy with them so far.  It's only been a week of driving on them though.  I just started the Huntin Rig build if you want to see before and after pics.  I don't have any closeups while doing the install though.

Spacers are the best bang for your buck, but they do ride a bit harsher then a true spring lift.
