Noob to forum and 96 tracker distributor question
« on: November 22, 2011, 08:42:38 AM »
Just got my first tracker 96 16v 2 door 4x4 (pics coming ), and since mechanically challenged my first stop to my mechanic, he says major leak at distributor. Needs adapter seal? Apparently an o ring that seals distributor to head? # 91174147 Can't find anywhere on line... Can you just RTV seal? Or wait and measure seal and custom order to size? Any suggestions much appreciated.

I would just silicone it.  I do that to all the disty housings and they don't leak afterwards.
