Having trouble sourcing radiator - 1993 Sidekick 4dr 4X4
« on: September 06, 2012, 12:38:14 AM »
I pulled the original radiator out of this '93, it had a small crack in the top.  JB Weld didn't work so I'm looking for a replacement (new or used).  I can't seem to find the same size.  Here are my dimensions:  19 12/16 wide   17 1/4 on centers of bottom "pins"   20 5/8 tall.  It's an automatic so it has two tranny lines running to it.  I've checked Ebay and RockAuto and neither seem to have that size.  The closest I've seen is 17 3/4 on centers.  HELP!  I need my truck back!

Several years ago, I purchased a replacement for my '93 4x4 Automatic At O'Reillys.

It worked great.

The odd thing was that they only sold one that had both an engine AND transmission cooler integrated into one unit (not that it made any difference for my application) - just something that me and the parts guy noted when ordering...

The unfortunate thing about all Suzuki radiators from '88.5 on is that they have plastic tops and bottoms.  If the adhesive binding the core and the caps breaks down, you are boned.  There is no repairing them.

Does anyone have any idea about sizing and maybe why mine doesn't seem to match up?  What about Hawk Suzuki?  Think they might have something?

Hawk is gone, but Trail Tough should have it.

Where are you measuring to for your bottom pins?  There should only be two options, a 17 3/4 and 18 1/2 option.

Performance Radiators sells a brass tanked for Automatics if you want to get away from plastic.  Otherwise Autozone can hook you up.

last one I bought had the mounts drilled for either....so it should not matter,( depending on manufacturer)
