It really depends on your driving style and tire size.  Some have issues with 30" tires, others can run 33" tires without a problem.  If your worried about it you can get a set of birfield rings or just pick up some chromoly front axles from Trail Tough and use a locker designed for the rear instead of the front, it has the larger splines.

I ran a front locker for years with front locker and ran the rubicon a bunch on 33 swampers. I was easy on it and did not hop it. The time that it is likely to break is backing up up hill and turning. For the price, get trail toughs 26 spline axles and side gears rather than the birf cups.
