I think most samurai owners have noticed that the T-case has a casting on the back opposite the input shaft. This was for a PTO. Suzuki used to offer a different input shaft for pto operation as an option. you would have to remove the "knockout" and use a sealed bearing.
So my question to you sammy/SJ owners is:
If you had an that PTO option, what would you use it for?

Yes,I got the information and drawings from them so i can make the input shaft. They were cool to give me that info. But i cant find a real practical reason to have a pto. If there was one, i would make it.

I guess if a person wanted to mow grass or pull a manuer spreader in a comfortable fashion it might make sense...

The old Scout 80 and 800 series had an option for a PTO. You could even order it with a tractor style hitch for pulling rakers and such.
I think we would be a bit underpowered for running a mower deck.
